Beste Sportievelingen,
Na een succesvolle uitvoering in 2022, ben ik blij om ook van de 14e editie wederom hoofdsponsor te mogen zijn.
De deelname van 40 Teams uit 4 verschillende landen als Duitsland, Frankrijk, België en Nederland bevestigt het internationale karakter van dit evenement
Wijhe is bij uitstek de plaats waar dit mogelijk gemaakt wordt. Mensen met een grenzeloze ambitie die samen de schouders eronder zetten en iets neerzetten wat niet overal kan op deze manier. De ambitie van de organisatie om het evenement nog verder door te laten groeien spreekt boekdelen, fantastisch om hieraan bij te dragen.
Ook Coster investeert in fitte mensen om ze met meer plezier te laten werken en beter te laten presteren, zowel individueel als in teamverband.
Het is dan ook relevant voor mij om de Coster IJssel Trophy te steunen op deze manier.
Ik wens alle deelnemers heel veel succes, plezier en een fantastisch sportief Pinksterweekend toe!

After a successful performance in 2022, I am happy to be the main sponsor of the 14th edition again.
The participation of 40 Teams from 4 countries such as Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands confirms the international character of this event.
Wijhe is pre-eminently the place where this is made possible. People with boundless ambition who put their shoulders to the wheel together and create something that is not possible everywhere in this way. The ambition of the organization to let the event grow even further speaks volumes, fantastic to contribute to this.
Coster also invests in fit people to make them enjoy working and perform better, both individually and in a team.

Beste voetbalvrienden en -vriendinnen,
Namens het bestuur van Sportvereniging Wijhe ’92 heet ik u hartelijk welkom op het toernooi om de Coster IJssel Trophy te Wijhe.
Wij zijn heel blij dat we alweer de 14e editie van dit prachtige toernooi mogen organiseren. Het organiseren van een dergelijk groot internationaal toernooi past uitstekend bij Wijhe’92 en de rol die wij als vereniging willen spelen binnen onze gemeenschap.
Dit jaar heeft de organisatie wederom laten zien goed te kunnen inspelen op veranderingen en dat met goede samenwerking alles te regelen valt.
Veel vrijwilligers hebben zich bereid gevonden om te assisteren en ik wil deze vrijwilligers nu reeds bedanken voor de inzet.
Wij wensen iedereen een bijzonder goed en sportief toernooi toe in Wijhe.

On behalf of the board of Sportsclub Wijhe ’92, I warmly welcome you to the Coster IJssel Trophy in Wijhe.
We are very pleased that we are able to organize the 14th edition of this beautiful tournament. Organizing such a large international tournament is an excellent match for Wijhe’92 and the role we want to play as a club within our community.
This year, the organization has once again demonstrated its ability to respond well to change and that with good cooperation everything can be managed.
Many volunteers have found themselves willing to assist and I already would like to thank everyone for their efforts.
We wish everyone a very good and sporty tournament in Wijhe.

Namens de gemeente Olst-Wijhe heet ik alle teams van harte welkom om tijdens de Coster IJssel Trophy met veel plezier en inzet samen te genieten van mooie en sportieve wedstrijden. Het is voor de veertiende maal dat Wijhe ’92 dit internationale voetbaltoernooi organiseert.
Nummer 14 is in ons land stevig verbonden met één van de beste voetballers die Nederland gekend heeft: Johan Cruijff. Cruijff was niet alleen een geniale en creatieve voetballer, ook als trainer en sportondernemer heeft hij velen binnen en buiten de voetbalsport geïnspireerd. Zo heeft de stichting die zijn naam draagt, de Cruyff Foundation, meer dan 200 Cruyff Courts gerealiseerd waardoor jongeren over de gehele wereld kunnen doen wat Cruijff het liefste deed: voetballen. Ik hoop dat Cruijffs passie voor het mooie voetbalspel spelers en teams zal inspireren om tijdens dit toernooi het beste uit zichzelf te halen!
De Coster IJssel Trophy is één van de vele evenementen die jaarlijks in onze gemeente worden georganiseerd en het levende bewijs van een actieve en betrokken samenleving waar het goed wonen, werken, recreëren en sporten is. Voor een vitale gemeente als de onze is het van groot belang dat jong en oud zich gezamenlijk inzetten om evenementen als de Coster IJssel Trophy mogelijk te maken. Die inzet is bij Wijhe ’92 gelukkig heel groot en ik ben er dan ook trots op wat het bestuur samen met alle vrijwilligers de afgelopen jaren heeft bereikt. Immers dankzij de inspanningen van velen is het nu al voor de veertiende maal dat jeugdteams uit binnen- en buitenland samen kunnen sporten. Een mooie prestatie!
Samen én in vrijheid kunnen voetballen niet overal vanzelfsprekend. Vandaar dat het belangrijk is dat internationale sporttoernooien zoals de Coster IJssel Trophy georganiseerd worden zodat jongeren uit heel Europa elkaar beter leren kennen en samen genieten van voetbal. En als dat gebeurt met fair play als uitgangspunt, dan ben ik ervan overtuigd dat sport verbroedert!
Ik wens alle spelers, vrijwilligers en andere betrokkenen bij deze veertiende editie van de Coster IJssel Trophy een heel mooi en sportief weekend!

On behalf of the municipality Olst-Wijhe I would like to welcome all teams to the Coster IJssel Trophy, to play fair and great matches with a lot of fun and commitment. This is the 14th time Wijhe’92 organizes this international football tournament.
In the Netherlands, the number 14 is strongly tied to one of our best football players ever: Johan Cruijff. Cruijff was not only a genius and creative football player, he also inspired a lot of people in and outside football, as a coach and sports entrepreneur. To illustrate, through his Cruyff Foundation over 200 Cruyff Courts have been realized, where youngsters all over the world can do what Cruijff liked to do most: play football. I hope that Cruijff’s passion for the game will inspire all participants to show their best during this tournament!
The Coster IJssel Trophy is one of the many events organized within our municipality. It shows how active and involved our community is when it comes to sports and recreation, but also living and working. For a vital municipality, like ours, it is very important that both young and old contribute to making events like the Coster IJssel Trophy possible. Luckily, at Wijhe’92, people certainly like to contribute and it is great to see what the board has achieved together with all members. And it is because of the contribution of so many people that this is the 14th time youth teams from abroad and the Netherlands can sport together. A great achievement!
Together and in freedom is not always obvious. This makes it even more important that international sport tournaments like the Coster IJssel Trophy get organized. Youngsters from all over Europe get to know each other and enjoy football together. When that happens in combination with fairplay, I am convinced that sport unites.
I want to wish all players, volunteers and others involved in the Coster IJssel Trophy a wonderful sporting weekend!
